We meet in the New Vestavia City Hall all but the third Thursday of each month.   Breakfast is served at 6:45AM followed by our meeting at 7:00AM.  We typically adjourn at 7:45AM.

Don Dailey is News and Public Affairs Director for Alabama Public Television. He serves as the host and producer for the show 'Capitol Journal,' a weekly program that is broadcast statewide and focuses on the legislature and state government. Don regularly interviews a variety of Alabama officials, including the Governor, Lieutenant Governor, Speaker of the House, Senate President Pro Tem, and members of Congress.  'Capitol Journal' will be broadcast nightly during the upcoming legislative session, and will air a special LIVE show on the night of Tuesday, February 2nd, to present the Governor's "State of the State" address. 

Don is a 30-year veteran of broadcast news in the state.  Before joining Alabama Public Television in 2011, he worked for 21 years as morning news anchor and reporter for WZZK radio in Birmingham, where he was honored with numerous state, regional and national news awards. Don is an Alabama native, having been born and raised in Linden, in Marengo County. He now makes his home in Hoover.
